I was contacted by Clover Valley. They were very nice and explained to me what they believed it was.

I had just finally thrown away the green beans. They were very polite and apologized. Said they were going to send me a coupon which I have never received but that's all good. I didn't expect to get anything back for one can of green beans any way.

That's now what I was asking for. Just an explanation.

The Clover Valley Company or Dollar General never did contact me back. By email or by phone.

I didn't want anything but maybe what it could of been. I seem to think now I may know what it was. Unfortunately not by the company that made it. Doesn't look like they back their products very well.

Can't say much for the company. Guess they don't care as people don't matter to much. This is not the first time I have had issues with things purchased at DG>Not just food. Shame on them.

All the money they make from us you would think they would have 3 minutes out of their time to contact a consumer of their products. Not pleased!!

Purchased these green beans a day ago. I don't know what is in it but it is nasty.

I would like to be contacted about this. I don't know if it's a piece of a bug or a snake or what. I had already ate a green bean and then when reached to grab another I saw that. I know accidents happen but come on already.

This is huge. It's a couple inches long and an inch wide. I saved the product with the nasty inside. Made me puke since I had already ingested one green bean.

Horrible to find that after doing so. I sure hope this can be changed.

This is very sick. Hope I don't find nothing else in my veggies or any other issues with your products.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $1.

Preferred solution: Figure out what this is. I saved it. I want to know..

I agree with Anonymous. It does look like a piece of dried up corn cob.Thats why alot of products say produced in a factory that also package nuts, etc.Does look horrifying like it has teeth about to bite you..Lol

I found the same thing in my green beans. At first I thought it was just an unusual blob of seasoning. But then I thought this did look kind of like a big bug that was disintegrating.

That's foul.

What's funny is I grow green beans, corn, carrots, broccoli, etc every year! NONE of my green beans produce anything that is that disgusting.

You grow your own vegetables and you have never found anything in them when you harvested them? You have been very lucky. There is always a critter or two there.

It's a piece of corn cob

Corn and green bean crops are rotated

It's sterilized alongside the beans

Thank you so much. Now that you say that I believe you are right.

I couldn't imagine what it was.

I don't know why the company never got back with me tho. It just looked so gross.

Green beans grow on vines in the dirt. If you eat anything that grows on the ground, in the dirt, on a vine or in a tree and get this upset over a bug or stick or whatever, you need to stop eating fruits and veggies.

Better not eat pasta or breads either, or sugar. Or meat, since bone and teeth can also be found. The fact is, if this was a piece of metal, you might have something. But it isn't.

Scoop it out, and continue eating. Whatever it is, has been cooked so thoroughly, there is no possible way for any contaminant.

I once found a worm in an apple. I tossed the worm, cut the bad part out, and ate the apple. I found a grasshopper in a can of beans.

I tossed it, and ate the beans. I found a beetle in my fresh picked lettuce. I tossed it and made my salad.

I found weevils in my pasta. I scooped them and made my spaghetti.

Take a few minutes to educate yourself on insects and why they end up in your food.

Look, that's you. I expect my food to be good without big foreign objects in it.

I also have cut and apple and did as you. This was canned in it. Probably cooked with it. Be it a bug or whatever my food had it all thru it.

It's gross. Not like I was asking for money back. .65 cents I could care less about. I was wanting to know what it was.

If you would of ate those greens beans that's pure nasty. That thing was slimy and gross. I will take it to someone I know and see if I can find out. They didn't even bother to contact me.

I can see how they back their products.

Shame on Clover Valley Foods. I won't be purchasing anymore.

Better not buy anything at all then, since every single brand can have the same issues. You would literally puke if you knew what was in your food, and what the FDA allows.

Go ahead.

Google it. I dare you.

You are very sarcastic. Don't bother me with your blah, blah.

I know how it is. I have found things in food before. When a company doesn't have the decency to reply to a customer it's a whole different story. I don't know know how old you are but I am sure I have you beat by years.

Seen a whole lot in my days. So don't dare me to google anything. You ain't got nothing nice to say. Don't say anything to me.

I will buy when I want. What I want. Have concerns when I want and expect to be replied to. Had you found the slimy foul thing I found I think myself you would not of ate this either.

If so you are a sick individual. I have thrown out sticks, weird little things. This was beyond that. Look at the pic.

The thing upside down was slimy as heck. You enjoy your unknown foods in stuff you buy. Something like what I found is just a little much. I also garden and get pests in my veggies since I am a country granny.

So just understand my point. I just want to have an idea on what was in my green beans. I found part of a lizard in green beans before from another brand. They actually responded.

Sent me an envelope to put it in. I thought that's what it was but they received and responded.

That's all I wanted. Can you understand that?

I absolutely can't stand anything this brand makes! Every product is vile tasting and disgusting. I will NEVER will buy this brand again!
